Hi. I am the Markalope. You can call me that, or just Mark. Markalope was my alter ego in my previous life as an aspiring cartoonist. Basically it was me with antlers.
Now I pastor a church. I’ve decided to blog whatever insights might come to me as a result of my study, conversations with people, etc.
The title “Strong Love, Strange Peace” is from a bonus track on the Larry Norman CD In Another Land. Somebody turned me on to the late Larry Norman the night of my High School graduation. In Another Land was my introduction to his music, and “Strong Love, Strange Peace” floored me.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
